We just love planning a Big Bend Elopement! It is one of our favorite places in Texas. When I first got on the phone with Chelsea, I just knew I was going to capture something truly beautiful.  

They have the sweetest and most caring relationship with each other.  They travel together as much as possible and so far have visited more than 11 National Parks together and they definatly plan on adding to that list.  So there was no question about where they wanted to get married. Because they knew that they wanted to tie the knot in a National Park it made complete sense for them to have their Elopement at Big Bend.   

Big Bend National Park has some of the most stunning desert mountains you will ever see and its remote location lends an amazing private atmosphere.    Next we discussed different locations inside the park and in the end they chose to go explore the Lost Mine Trail. It is one of the harder hikes in the park (in my opinion lol) but the views at the end make it totally worth the climb.

Jeff and Chelsea chose to stay at our favorite Airbnb in the area…Tin Valley Retro Rentals.   They spent their day lounging in the Airstream and getting ready together in a truly relaxed setting.    Once it was time for Chelsea to get in her dress, we sent Jeff outside to explore while  she finished getting ready so we could have their first look together.   

After their first look we set off for the drive to Lost Mine Trailhead and hiked up to the top of the trail JUST as the sun was beginning to turn golden and get ready to set.  Then they shared the sweetest vows with each other and had their first dance together as husband and wife as the sun was setting on the horizon. 

Afterwards they shared their favorite cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and toasted with a can of their favorite beer from their local brewery. Then they snuggled and kept each other warm as they waited for the stars to come out.  It was absolutely perfect!
